Woodfired Heathcote Shiraz *3 Bottles

This De Bortoli Woodfired Shiraz has deep red flavours with purple edge. Plump, dark fruits, fennel and olive spice, dark chocolate. Soft, rich, plump, balanced tannin cured meats, wild spice, authentically Heathcote. Vineyards from several sections of Heathcote were selected from Corop, Chinamans Bend and Colbinabbin. The ancient red Cambrian soils of Northern Heathcote are ideal for dark fruited, plump red wines like Woodfired Shiraz.

This classic Langhorne Creek Shiraz was specially produced using old vine fruit grown on the estate. It’s a rich, full bodied wine showing lifted aromatics of plums and dark chocolate. The family vineyards were established back in the late 1880’s, when Arthur Follett planted the first vines on the property. Three generations later, the vineyards are producing outstanding fruit and Lake Breeze is making trophy winning wines. Only the best 40% of fruit is selected from the older vines on the property, to create wines with amazing depth of flavor.
